1. Who We Are

MantraBhav ("we", "us", or "our") is a mobile application that provides personalized Vedic mantra recommendations based on your birth chart. This Privacy Policy applies to the MantraBhav mobile application (Android and iOS) and the website at mantrabhav.com.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

MantraBhav is designed around a principle of data minimalism. We do not collect:

• Your name, email address, phone number, or any identity information
• Your date, time, or place of birth — all Kundli calculation happens locally on your device
• Your location in real time
• Any financial or payment information (the app is free)
• Health or medical data

There are no user accounts. There is no login. Nothing you enter into MantraBhav is transmitted to our servers.

3. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

MantraBhav stores the following data exclusively on your device using your phone's local storage:

• Birth details — date, time, and place of birth that you enter during onboarding, used to calculate your Kundli
• App preferences — language choice, alarm time, notification settings
• Cached audio files — mantra audio downloaded for offline playback
• Usage state — which mantras you have heard, last active date, session count

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it. Uninstalling the app deletes all locally stored data.

4. Anonymous Usage Analytics

To improve the app, we may collect limited, non-identifiable usage data. This data:

• Does not contain any personally identifiable information
• Cannot be linked to a specific individual
• Is transmitted as aggregated statistics only (e.g. total sessions, feature usage counts)
• Is associated with an anonymous, randomly generated device identifier — not your name, email, or any real-world identity

You may opt out of anonymous analytics at any time in the app's Settings screen.

5. Push Notifications

If you grant notification permission, MantraBhav uses it exclusively to deliver your scheduled mantra alarm and optional daily reminders. We do not use push notification access for marketing, advertising, or any purpose unrelated to your practice.

You can revoke notification permission at any time through your device's system settings.

6. Audio Content

Mantra audio files are served from our secure backend infrastructure. When you play or cache a mantra, a network request is made to retrieve the audio file. This request contains the mantra identifier only — no personal information is transmitted. Our server logs may retain standard access logs (IP address, timestamp, file requested) for up to 30 days for security and operational purposes, after which they are permanently deleted.

7. Third-Party Services

MantraBhav uses the following third-party services:

Supabase

We use Supabase for backend infrastructure — specifically for storing and serving mantra audio content. Supabase does not receive any of your personal data. Their privacy policy is available at supabase.com/privacy.

Expo / React Native

The app is built using Expo and React Native. These frameworks do not independently collect or transmit user data. Expo's privacy policy is available at expo.dev/privacy.

We do not use advertising SDKs, social login SDKs, tracking pixels, or any third-party analytics services that collect personal data.

8. Children's Privacy

MantraBhav is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with information, please contact us at support@mantrabhav.com and we will take appropriate steps.

9. Data Security

Because MantraBhav does not collect personal data on our servers, the primary security responsibility lies with your device. We recommend keeping your device updated and protected with a screen lock. All network communication between the app and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights regarding your data. Since we do not hold personal data on our servers, most rights (access, rectification, deletion) are exercised directly on your device by clearing app data or uninstalling the application.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you through the app. Continued use of MantraBhav after a policy update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
